What do you get with Wedding Videography?

What is included for Videography? When we are talking about Wedding
and other Special Events Packages it's not just about shooting the video.
It's the editing or what's known as Post Production. A video shoot of
about 4 - 5 hours will take somewhere between 30 hours to 60 hours
for editing. Editors charge around $50 an hour, which is why it's better to
have a "package" rather than priced individually. Editing includes bringing in
the hours of video into the computer, Viewing the footage minute by minute
and removing footage that won't be used. Reviewing again to remove reduntant
footage. If two cameras are used this procedure is much longer of course.
Then adding special effects, titles, credits etc. Adding music, and tweaking
all audio. Then finally rendering the footage which takes hours before
inserting into the DVD creator. This is now where the scene selections are
done then needs to be rendered again before burning the final DVD.
Why do we tell you that? Because sometimes it's hard for everyone to
understand the cost. So, when looking at the prices of the packages you
need to consider the total time involved to create your very entertaining DVD.
You don't want a DVD that is boring but rather like watching a blockbuster movie.
So... It's not "just" 4 - 5 hours of work! What is actually included is the shooting
of the video, post-production and the final creation of your DVD.

Now, having said this. When you see an inexperienced shooter say "I can do your wedding for only $300" you have been warned. There is no do-over! It's not about pointing a camera and shooting.
